Man charged with £30k iPhone robbery

More than £30,000 worth of iPhones were stolen during a robbery at an Apple store in Lakeside

A man has been charged with robbery and attempted robbery after more than £30,000 worth of iPhones were stolen from an Apple store.
Avram Stoica, 20, of no fixed abode, allegedly targeted the new iPhone 17 phones at the company's store at the Lakeside shopping centre in Thurrock, Essex, on 22 September.
He is also charged with attempted robbery, following reports of an attempt to rob an Apple store in Brent Cross, London, also on 22 September.
He is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court later.
Mr Stoica is also charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
