Police have arrested two men in connection with reports of gunshots heard in a residential street.

Armed officers were called to Blundell Close in St Ann's, Nottingham, on 19 September where a car was pulled over and three men arrested.

On Wednesday, Nottinghamshire Police detained two more men aged 20 and 21, in the Radford area, both on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The earlier suspects, two aged 20 and an 18-year-old, were released on police bail.

Police said the 20-year-old detained on Wednesday was also arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, while the 21-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of assault.

The force said its investigation was ongoing.
