Woman finds dead cockroach in Shein package
- Published
A woman said she found a dead cockroach in her delivery from fast-fashion retailer Shein.
Amy Jowett, from Langport in Somerset, said she was shocked when the creature fell out of the clothing package she received from the online retailer.
It comes days after a Bristol University student found a scorpion crawling inside a Shein parcel.
The BBC has contacted Shein and they told us they are "thoroughly investigating'" this matter.
'I didn't order bugs'
Ms Jowett said she discovered the dead insect when she opened a package containing a pair of joggers.
"For a second I thought, is it like a big moth and then I quickly thought, cockroach, but I could also see it was dead - I just thought gross, horrible," she said.
"It's ridiculous that there's just been a scorpion found and now this.
"When I continued to take packages out of the Shein parcel I was using my pincer fingers and giving it all a good shake out - I was paranoid that there was going to be other insects in there.
"What is going on here, I didn't order any bugs," she added.
On Friday, a student who received an order from Shein discovered a live scorpion inside her package.
With the help of her flatmates at the University of Bristol, the venomous invader was moved into a tub before being collected by an expert.
