Some coastal roads in Jersey could be closed on Monday evening following a warning for strong winds and a high tide.
Jersey Met Office issued an orange tide warning, with water and debris expected to cause disruption on the island's south and east coast on Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
Some roads could be closed due to wind and high tides causing waves to break over the sea walls.
High tides will be at 19:26 BST on Monday, with wave heights of 11.5m (37ft 7in), and 07:45 BST on Tuesday, with wave heights of 11.8m (38ft 7in).
Forecaster John Searson said the winds would be "picking up later today", and that islanders should "take care on the coast during the high tide tonight".
He said gusts of 60 mph (96 km/h) would be "possible" around midnight, and storm force 10 winds were expected in the north part of the Channel.
Jersey Met said the "majority of the water and debris" would occur one hour before and after the high tide times.
