Shops and businesses in a Guernsey industrial estate have said they would stay open during the three-week closure of a major road.

Braye Road, in the north of the island, is due to be closed from Monday 24 February until 14 March for work including resurfacing and replacing streetlights, according to Traffic and Highways.

Braye Road Industrial Estate, accessed from the road, is home to shops and businesses including supermarket Alliance and online greetings card company Moonpig.

Alliance said it would remain open as normal during the closure, but had been informed diversions would be in place so customers would need to check their route.

Traffic and Highways said some bus routes would be affected including the 12, 13 and N1.
