Man left with serious head injury after street fight

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a fight in a street that left a man with a serious head injury.

West Yorkshire Police said officers were called to Crown Street, in Hebden Bridge, at 20:57 BST on Saturday.

A man in his 50s was found unconscious and was taken to hospital. His injuries are thought to be life threatening.

The fight was between two men and the suspect fled the scene, police added.
