A school in St Andrew has appointed a new head teacher.
Alexa Yeoman was previously the acting vice-principal of Blanchelande College and has been named principal.
Mrs Yeoman was a pupil at the private school and has worked there for the past 16 years.
She said the school's ethos - "part of a family, one of a kind" - reflected individual learning and collaboration.
'Unique offering'
"I am proud to be leading the school into its next phase of development, whilst also preserving its unique features and remaining true to its values," she said.
The Catholic school recently opened a new design and technology centre and launched a Leiths professional cookery programme.
Mrs Yeoman said more students were staying on at Blanchelande for sixth form, and joining from other schools, so the school was planning to develop further quiet study areas and common room space.
"I feel strongly about the unique independent educational offering which Blanchelande provides for the island's children," she said.
