A two-vehicle crash at a level crossing which closed a major A-road has now been cleared, police have said.

Suffolk Police was called to the A12 at Darsham, near Saxmundham, at about 09:45 BST.

The road, which runs between Lowestoft and London, was closed in both directions for almost two hours.

The train operator Greater Anglia posted on X, external, formerly known as Twitter, to say that rail services were passing through Darsham again having been disrupted by the collision.
