Man arrested on suspicion of church break-in

A man has been arrested in connection with a break-in at a church in Guernsey.

The 39-year-old is being held on suspicion of burglary and questioned by officers investigating damage and stolen money from Town Church in St Peter Port.

Guernsey Police said the break-in happened between 23:00 GMT on Friday and 00:30 the next day.

The force said inquiries were ongoing and anyone with information should get in touch.
