Witness appeal after man assaulted on dancefloor

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in a town centre nightclub.

Northamptonshire Police said the man, aged in his 20s, sustained serious facial injuries after being punched by two men on the dancefloor of Decades in Carrington Street, Kettering, between 02:00 and 03:00 BST on Saturday.

Officers said one suspect was white and in his late 30s. He was about 6ft (183cm) tall with dirty blonde hair and "a distinctive flat nose". He was wearing a blue T-shirt and black jeans.

The second suspect was also white and aged in his mid-40s. He is described as being about 5ft 8in (173cm) tall with short brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and black trainers.

As a result of the assault the victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said the club was busy at the time of the incident and are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact them.
