A woman in her 80s has died after she was struck by a lorry in County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland.
It happened shortly after 14:00 local time on Friday at Church Street in the village of St Johnston, gardaí (Irish police) said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later and her body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The lorry driver was uninjured.
The road remains closed to allow for an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Witnesses, including anyone with dash-cam footage, have been asked to come forward.
The woman’s death brings to four the number of people killed on roads in County Donegal in less than a week.
A woman, also in her 80s, died on Wednesday following a two-car crash in the Inver area of the county last Sunday.
The crash came just hours after another serious accident on the Inishowen Peninsula which claimed the lives of two young cousins.
