Second teen arrested over carnival-night stabbing

A second 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with a stabbing on Saturday evening.

It relates to an attack at Severn Meadows in Stourport during the Worcestershire town's carnival.

The victim, who was also 17, received wounds which police said were not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The first detainee, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Sunday, is now on bail.

The incident happened close to public toilets at about 21:00 BST on Saturday.

Det Con Dan Pickford of West Mercia Police said officers "continue to appeal to members of the public who saw what happened or for anyone with information that would help with our inquiries."
