Three people have been rescued from a flat after being trapped due by a fire.

The rescue happened after 23:00 BST on Friday at Culdee Terrace in Armagh.

The Northern Ireland Fire Service said the "well-developed" blaze, which was accidental, had broken out in a ground-floor flat, trapping the people above.

Firefighters used smoke hoods to rescue the three people. One person was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital as a precaution.

Fire crews put out the fire after 01:00 in the early hours of Saturday.
