A warning has been issued after three men posing as parking wardens managed to steal credit cards from drivers.
Police said it happened in Sunbury Cross Centre, Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, on Saturday.
The men asked drivers to pay for their parking using a hand-held card machine, which appeared to swallow the cards.
Police said drivers should only pay using ticket machines or the online app.
