Third weekend closure of M25 slip roads cancelled

Slip roads at junction 10 of the M25, linking the motorway to the A3 at Wisley in Surrey, will now not need to close for a third time, National Highways has said.
The road works are part of a three-year £317m project to update the junctions.
The slip roads re-opened at 03:40 BST on Monday morning, just over two hours ahead of schedule, following the most recent closures.
The next weekend closures had been scheduled to take place on 2 and 3 November.
Jonathan Wade, senior project manager at National Highways, told BBC Radio Surrey: "The weather was good on Saturday, so we really cracked on with it.
"Sunday was a bit slower but all in all it was a very successful weekend - so much so the third weekend closure won't be necessary."
The works being done at the junction are implementing new "jet lanes", which go through the junction and avoid traffic signals.
Mr Wade said: "Drivers should take extra care as the configuration has changed.
"This is an interim position until we can bring in new bridges, which will likely be February next year."
Three full weekend closures of the motorway have taken place already in 2024, with more scheduled in 2025.
The diversion routes for the weekend took drivers through London's ultra low emission zone (Ulez).
Drivers were warned to check if their vehicle met restrictions, otherwise they would have been charged £12.50.
