Man charged with assaulting emergency worker

A man has been charged with the assault by beating of an emergency worker in Sheffield.
The 24-year-old man was arrested following an incident in the city centre on Friday, according to South Yorkshire Police.
He was also charged with using a motor vehicle without a licence or third-party insurance, failing to stop when directed by a PC, and driving without due care and attention.
He was bailed to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on 29 November, a force spokesperson said.
