Crews fight large fire at industrial estate

Firefighters have been tackling a large blaze at a building on an industrial estate.

The emergency services were called to Birds Hill, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, at about 18:45 BST.

Ten fire engines and two aerial ladder platforms were at the scene. A fire service spokesperson advised nearby residents to keep doors and windows shut.

The road was closed between Pixmore Avenue and Norton Way, and Hertfordshire Police has asked people to avoid the area.
