A bird flu outbreak has been confirmed at a commercial chicken farm in Herefordshire.

The virus was recorded near Kington earlier, prompting a 3km (1.8 mile) protection zone being put in place.

A government spokesperson said all poultry on the premises would be culled but done so humanely.

A 10km (6.2 mile) surveillance zone, which extends into Wales, has also been implemented.
