Dozens of people, including hospital staff and patients, have been abseiling down the front of Derriford Hospital's tower block this weekend.
The challenge is raising money to support Plymouth Hospitals Charity's work at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHPNT) - funding equipment, vital research, and and various projects, the trust said.
More than £19,000 has been raised, according to the Plymouth Hospitals Charity website.
The charity said the annual abseil event raised money "to make your local hospital better for patients and staff".
After completing the abseil, Andy Dicks, preconstruction project manager at the trust, said it was "quite scary" to go over the top of the building.
Social value manager Daffne Aguilar said it was "exciting", adding it was all for a good cause.
