A man and a boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a 19-year-old who was shot at an industrial estate.
Ellis Cox was found critically injured with gun shot wounds on the Liver Industrial Estate in Aintree, Sefton, on 23 June just after 22:10 BST.
He died a short time later in hospital.
Merseyside Police said an 18-year-old man, of no fixed abode, and a boy, 17, from West Derby, were being questioned in custody.
The 17-year-old is also being held on suspicion of possession of a firearm and cannabis, the force said.
Detectives appealed for information about Mr Cox's shooting, which took place as he made his way through the industrial estate after a day out in Southport.
His family said he had been "making the most of a sunny day going on a bike ride with his friends".
They said he was "loved and adored" and their world was "shattered and irreparable" after his death.
