A woman has been charged with murder after a grandfather died at a property in Welwyn Garden City.
Hertfordshire Constabulary was called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Linkfield on Sunday at about 03:00 BST.
Gavin Hubbard, 42, who died at the scene, was a "loving family man", his family said.
Tuche Coskun, 21, from Enfield in north London, has been charged with murder.
In a statement issued via the police, Mr Hubbard's family said: "Gavin, the son of Roy and Val, brother of Trev, Tracy and Chris, a dad to Sophie, Jack and Carter and a grandad to three.
“He was also a loving uncle to many.
“Gav was loved by his family; he was loved by his friends, and he loved so many.
“Despite his troubles he was there for anyone who needed him. He was a wise, kind, funny and loyal man. He will be missed so so much.
“Rest in peace Gav, love you forever.”
Ms Coskun, of Central Avenue, has also been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, after a number of wraps were found during searches.
She is due to appear at Luton Crown Court on Friday.
