A family has paid tribute to their "loving, happy" nine-year-old boy who died in woodlands in South Lanarkshire.
Jordan Moore was found near Abbeygreen Road in Lesmahagow at about 18:50 on Sunday after police received reports of concern for a child.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and, following a post mortem examination, the force confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.
A family statement said: “Our Jordan was the most loving, caring, happy, handsome wee boy. He’ll forever be in all our hearts.”
Det Insp Vicki Douglas said: “Our thoughts are with Jordan’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“His family are being supported by officers and have requested that their privacy is respected at this time.”
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Debbie MacKenna, head teacher at Woodpark Primary School, said the community had been deeply shocked and saddened by the death.
She said: “Jordan was an energetic, fun-loving boy who was loyal to his friends and family, and was loved by us all. His radiant smile, his singing and dancing and his sense of humour lit up our school.
“We keep Jordan’s family and friends very much in our thoughts and prayers, and we will continue to support our school community at this very sad time.”
