Drypool Bridge will close for three nights to allow for surveys to take place, Hull City Council said.

The closures will take place on Clarence Street between 20:00 BST and 06:00 BST on 24, 25 and 26 June.

The council said the surveys were part of the first phase of the Hull District Heat Network project, which will provide heat and hot water to a variety of organisations around the city centre.

The appointed consultant, Arup, will be conducting a feasibility assessment of Drypool Bridge Tunnel where the network will cross the River Hull.

Garry Taylor. from the council, said: “The council is aware that it is a popular route with road users and apologises for any inconvenience caused.”

The road will reopen as normal at 06:00 each day before closing again in the evening when a signed diversion will be in place.
