An investigation is under way after a motorcyclist died in a crash in Derby.

Police were called to Nottingham Road, in Spondon, at about 20:45 GMT on Thursday.

The crash involved a black Kawasaki motorbike and a grey Mercedes A180.

The rider of the motorcycle - a man in his 20s - was pronounced dead at the scene, said police.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has since been released on bail while investigations continue.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the crash or has any dashcam footage.
