A second man has been arrested after three people were hurt when a gun was fired inside a bar.

The 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the shooting at Avenue Bar and Restaurant in Smethwick on 17 June.

West Midlands Police said he remained in custody for questioning.

Two men, one in his 20s and one in his 40s, and a woman in her 20s were injured in the shooting at the Rolfe Street venue, which happened at about 03:00 BST on the day.

A 23-year-old man who was previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as well as possession of a firearm and assault has since been released on bail.
