Ambulance and Rescue Guernsey said firefighters helped get the patient down from the scaffolding

A person was injured following an incident which happened on a building site in Alderney, paramedics said.

Guernsey Ambulance and Rescue Service said it was called out to the incident on Thursday involving a person who was scaffolding at roof height.

It said Alderney Fire Service was called out to help bring the patient down in a purpose-built cage to a waiting ambulance as the crew was unable to get to the person by ladder before taking them to Mignot Hospital for treatment.

Guernsey's Health and Safety Executive said it has been made aware of the incident and is working with the States of Alderney to get more details.
