Two arrested after four-year-old dies in crash

Two men have been arrested after a four-year-old boy died in a crash in Kent involving two pickup trucks.

A man was left in a critical condition and a one-year-old girl suffered minor injuries in the crash involving two grey Ford Rangers on New Barn Road, Southfleet, at 21:30 BST on Sunday.

The boy was travelling in the same vehicle as the injured 24-year-old man and baby.

A 27-year-old man from Darenth and a 53-year-old man from Swanley remain in police custody while inquiries continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision, Kent Police said.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
