A woman who died after being hit by a van in Sandwell is said to have had the ability to bring happiness wherever she went.
The family of Carol Knowles have paid tribute to the 62-year-old, who died in hospital after the collision on Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury on 29 October.
She has been described as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother and a dedicated court usher, known for her warm smile and positive spirit.
A 31-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving is on bail as investigations continue, said West Midlands Police.
Her family said their lives had been changed forever, Ms Knowles had been the heart of the family, and her loss was immeasurable.
"A loyal friend to many, Carol carried herself with kindness, dignity and grace," they said.
They added: "We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received."
Her relatives also thanked emergency services and everyone who helped at the scene on the day of the collision, urging anyone who saw what happened to contact police.
The West Midlands force said it was particularly keen for dashcam footage of the incident as the investigation continued.
