Ruth Jones stars in new Harlan Coben Netflix series

Ruth Jones is stepping into new territory in Harlan Coben drama

Gavin & Stacey creator Ruth Jones will lead the new Harlan Coben series on Netflix.
Jones will star alongside Cold Feet's James Nesbitt in Run Away, an eight-part adaptation of Coben's thriller of the same name.
The series starts on New Year's Day, with the story relocated from the US to the UK.
It also stars Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, Lucian Msamati, and is Coben's 13th adaptation for Netflix.

Jones will play Elena Ravenscroft, opposite Nesbitt's Simon Greene.
The story follows Simon, a man whose seemingly perfect life falls apart after his eldest daughter goes missing.

When Simon finally finds her, a violent confrontation sets off a chain of events that exposes deep family secrets.
Run Away was written by Danny Brocklehurst, who was has adapted several of Coben's novels including Fool Me Once, which starred Michelle Keegan and Joanna Lumley.

Jones is best known for co-creating BBC's hit show Gavin & Stacey with James Corden.
The comedy first debuted back in 2007 on BBC Three, with Jones playing the role of loveable Nessa Jenkins.

The finale, which aired on Christmas Day in 2024, was watched by 19.11 million people, making it one of the most watched scripted TV shows of the century.
