Driver killed in single-vehicle tree crash

Police were called after a black Audi A3 left Shepshed Road and crashed into a tree

A man was killed when the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree in Leicestershire.
Officers were called to reports of the crash, involving a black Audi A3, in Shepshed Road, Hathern, just before 14:00 BST on Sunday, Leicestershire Police said.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene where the driver - a man in his 30s - was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The force is now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Det Con Adam Bancroft, of Leicestershire Police, said: "I'd like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and can help with our inquiries.
"I'm keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the Audi beforehand. If you've got a dashcam in your vehicle then please do come forward.
"Any details you're able to provide could assist us."
