Biker dies after losing control on bend

A motorcyclist has died after losing control of his bike on a bend in the road in Lancashire.

The rider of the Kawasaki ZX 600 was travelling away from Chorley town centre on Park Road when he lost control on the right-hand bend, close to the entrance with Astley Park, at about 17:30 BST on Monday.

The man, who lived in the area and was in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and later died, Lancashire Police said.

The force has appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
