Call for nominations for top sporting achievements

People on the Isle of Man have been invited to put forward their nominations for the island's annual sporting achievements celebration.

There are 12 categories in 2025's awards, including Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year.

Last year's ceremony saw cyclist Mark Cavendish and equestrian star Yasmin Ingham take the top honours.

Organised by Isle of Man Sport, the award winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the Villa Marina in Douglas in February.

Those nominated must be Manx or have lived on the Isle of Man for at least two years to be eligible.

The online nominations window closes on 14 December.

Other award categories are:

  • Isle of Man Sports Ambassador

  • Under-21 Sportsman of the Year

  • Under-21 Sportswoman of the Year

  • Disability Sportsperson of the Year

  • Veteran Sportsperson of the Year

  • Sports Administrator of the Year

  • Sports Coach of the Year

  • Sports Team of the Year

  • Lifetime Achievement

  • The Leonie Cooil Courage & Inspiration Award

Isle of Man Sport chief executive Andy Varnom said the awards celebrated the island's athletes as well as "the people who stand beside them every step of the way".

He added: "From grassroots to world-class achievements, our sporting community is defined by talent, passion, and support."
