Flooding 'likely' as heavy showers prompt warning

Heavy showers have been forecast by the Met Office in areas including Devon and Cornwall

Flooding could hit parts of Devon and Cornwall during a period of heavy rain set to fall in the region.
The Met Office issued a weather warning for rain covering parts of the counties along with other areas of the south coast, south Wales and south east England from 22:00 BST on Thursday until 12:00 on Friday.
It said disruption to transport systems and infrastructure were expected and flooding of "a few homes and businesses is likely".
The warning said the heavy showers - which could bring up to 70mm (2.75 inches) of rain in a few hours - should clear into the North Sea by Friday afternoon.
The Met Office added some of the showers could be accompanied by "the odd rumble of thunder", mostly in coastal areas.
