A woman who was found dead in a canal was a "bright, beautiful, loving soul", her family have said.

A man has been charged with murder after Chereiss Bailey was found dead in the waterway near Ryders Green Road in West Bromwich on Tuesday.

In a tribute to the 36-year-old, her family said she was "much loved and adored by us all".

They said: "Words could never truly describe the anger, pain and heartbreak that we are feeling as a family. She will forever remain in our hearts."

John Anslow, 64, from Sandwell, is charged with murder and preventing a lawful and decent burial.

Hayley-Marie Ferguson, 41, from Sandwell, is also accused of preventing the lawful and decent burial and assisting an offender.

A plea and trial preparation hearing is due to take place on 14 November at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
