A man was taken to hospital after being found at a Manchester train station with stab wounds, police said.

Emergency services attended Victoria Station on Sunday at around 19:00 GMT following reports to police about a man in his 20s with "serious injuries".

Greater Manchester Police said no arrests have been made, however officers are continuing to review CCTV footage and speaking to a number of witnesses.

In a statement, the force added: "We believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community."

Police urged anyone with information, or who might have seen anything suspicious on Sunday evening at Monsall tram stop or Victoria Station, to make contact, quoting incident number 2067 and the date of the occurrence.
