A popular bike night is set to return to Grantham next month.

The free event invites bikers and bike enthusiasts from across the region to show off their motorcycles, meet fellow riders and enjoy an evening of entertainment.

It will take place on 27 August from 17:00 BST until 21:00 BST at Market Place. Bikers will be able to access the area via Westgate.

South Kesteven District Council leader Paul Stokes said the event was "a great way for visitors to enjoy our town centre in a new and exciting way".

Bars in the area will be opening early and there will be live music from local bands, as well as food and drink.

Attendees can also expect a Ducati and Kawasaki showcase from Chris Walker Motorcycles, supported by the former star of British Superbike racing, Chris Walker.

The event is part of the council's summer events programme, backed by the government's Future High Street Fund.

Stokes added: "I remember events we've had in the past, this is our shot at recreating the atmosphere and fun of those memorable evenings in Grantham."
