Plans have been submitted to upgrade two of Plymouth's most historic buildings.
The city council has submitted a pre-application inquiry to its planning department for a range of replacement, repairs and access improvements at The Guildhall on Royal Parade.
The Guildhall has recently undergone a £3.9m revamp to bring it up to date for gigs, entertainment events, conferences, training and weddings.
Among the proposals is the replacing of a 70-year-old copper roof and a covered fire escape from the Great Hall.
The plans also includes refurbishing the rear elevation façade of The Duke of Cornwall Hotel on Millbay Road, as well as replacing the external fire places, the Local Democracy Reporting Service added.
