Police are not looking for anyone else following the deaths of the Meir Park couple

A couple found dead at their home in Stoke-on-Trent home had both been shot, police have revealed.

The bodies of husband and wife Peter and Dora Leese were discovered shortly before 14:00 BST on Saturday 20 April on Catalina Place, Meir Park.

The deaths of the 78 and 76-year-old remain under investigation, but Staffordshire Police is not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.

Post-mortem examinations showed they died as a result of being shot, with further tests due to take place, the force said.

It added the couple's family continued to be supported by specialist officers.
