A second 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Leicester.

Leicestershire Police said officers were called at about 19:40 BST on Friday after a man was assaulted in Lockerbie Walk, Rushey Mead.

Another 16-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was released with no further action on Saturday.

The investigation is continuing, and the victim remains in hospital, police added.
