The 19-year-old was "loved and adored" and "fiercely loyal", his family said

Detectives appealed for information about Mr Cox's shooting, which took place as he made his way through the industrial estate after a day out in Southport.

His family said he had been "making the most of a sunny day going on a bike ride with his friends".

They said he was "loved and adored" and their world was "shattered and irreparable" after his death.

His family described him as "the best son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, grandson and friend you could ever hope for", adding he was "fiercely loyal to us all".
