Weekend seaside festival returns to Jersey

A weekend seaside festival is returning to Jersey for its second year.
The Havre des Pas Seaside Festival in St Helier will be hosting three stages of music alongside family activities, including bouncy castles and a fancy dress competition.
This event will be followed up by the annual Fete de St Helier the weekend after on 20 and 21 July, featuring fairground rides and local stalls, the parish said.
Connor Burgher, town centre manager and head of engagement, said the events coupled with the Royal visit on Monday would be part of an exciting two weeks.
He said: "We have added lots of activities this year that the whole family can get involved with including a pirate and mermaid costume competition and an introduction to sea swimming with local legend Sally Minty-Gravett.
"We hope to see as many people turn out as possible for what will be an incredible weekend.”
