A festival which was cancelled because it had made a "substantial" loss last year is back on after new organisers came forward to save it.

The Parish of St Helier alongside Havre des Pas Improvement Group will now run the Jersey Seaside Festival.

Constable for St Helier Simon Crowcroft confirmed the event would go ahead on 9 August as planned.

The festival, which includes live entertainment, local art and alfresco dining, has been running for ten years.

Mr Pirozzolo announced on social media on Sunday that he was unable to continue organising the event as sponsorship had become hard to find and the event was making a "substantial" loss.
