Police have made three arrests after a teenager was left needing hospital treatment following a "violent incident".

North Yorkshire Police said the teenager was found with "lacerations" after officers were called by ambulance crews to the Nidd Viaduct, in Bilton, Harrogate, at about 16:45 BST on Wednesday.

The force said his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Two boys aged 17 and one aged 15, who are all from the Harrogate area, have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

Det Ch Insp Carol Kirk, from North Yorkshire Police, asked anyone with any information about the incident to get in touch.

“There is no room for this level of violence in North Yorkshire and a full investigation is now under way," she added.
