Part of the A27 in West Sussex will be closed for a third weekend as work is carried out on a new roundabout.

The eastbound carriageway between Manor Roundabout in Lancing and the Shoreham flyover will be closed from 21:00 BST Friday until 06:00 on Monday.

National Highways said the closure would allow the team to finish off drainage, install ducting across the carriageway and lay the final road surface to complete the roundabout at New Monks Farm.

There will be diversion routes in place during the closure on the A27, A24 and A238.

An earlier closure of this stretch of road in April caused delays for drivers.

There will be one more weekend closure as part of the roundabout work on the A27 starting Friday 7 June.

National Highways said there were also regular overnight closures on both sides of the A27 over the next few months.
