Brightly coloured artwork is being displayed in windows across a community.

Residents of Florence Park in Oxford will decorate homes with their colourful creations from Friday.

Windows will be lit up between 18:00 - 21:00 GMT across the weekend, with maps being provided to signpost the different artworks.

The Florence Park Window Walkabout started in February 2020, and was inspired by a similar project in Bristol.

Creations in previous years have included a homage to the 1975 blockbuster film Jaws, a colourful depiction of space, and a house being lifted of the ground by balloons - much like in the Disney Pixar film Up.

They are normally made up of coloured tissue paper and black paper.

Jane Gallagher, who started the Florence Park Window Walkabout, said it was "free, intergenerational and fun”, and that one of her favourite things about the event was "hearing all the gasps of amazement from other people looking at the windows".

Local resident Richard added: “The Florence Park Window Walkabout is a joy of colour and creativity."

"I love the variety and how it transforms the area.”
