A woman who lost her life in a flat fire has been described as a “soulmate” by her partner.
The 34-year-old, whose partner Ben Richardson said she was known as Lisa Lou, died on 9 March, after a flat fire in Mendip Grove, Gunthorpe, Peterborough.
Emergency services including police, ambulance and fire crews attended the scene and a joint investigation established that the cause of the fire was not suspicious.
Mr Richardson, who has two children with Lisa, paid tribute to the “amazing woman” and said his life had been “shattered”.
Lisa has three further children, he said.
Cards, flowers and candles have been left at the site where Lisa died by the community in Gunthorpe and Lisa’s friends and family.
“I have lost the love of my life. She was my soulmate. She was amazing. We are still trying to process what happened and are in shock,” Mr Richardson said.
He added that he and Lisa were engaged.
Mr Richardson confirmed that the family's dog, Rambo, also lost his life in the fire.
Richard Baystow, who had been Lisa’s friend for nearly 15 years, has launched a fundraiser to help her family with funeral costs.
He described her as “happy and a loving mother”.
Cambridgeshire Police said no further investigation will take place into Lisa’s death and her case has now been passed to the coroner.
