A man has been taken to hospital following a suspected stabbing in Eastbourne town centre.
Emergency services were called to Furness Road at around 17:40 GMT on Tuesday after receiving reports that a 23-year-old man had been injured with a knife.
Sussex Police said officers searched the area but "did not locate anyone believed to be involved in the incident".
The force said further CCTV and witness inquiries were ongoing and asked anyone with information to contact them.
