Residents were evacuated from a high-rise apartment building in Leeds after a fire broke out on the eleventh floor.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at the building on Wharf Approach in Holbeck at 17:37 GMT on Tuesday.

Six crews and support teams were sent to the scene and residents were evacuated.

A spokesperson said crews tackled the fire and the building was then handed back to the owners. There were no reports of injuries, they added.
