A second man has been arrested following reports of a gun being fired in Edinburgh.

Police Scotland said officers were called to Hailesland Gardens in the Wester Hailes area at about 15:40 on Thursday.

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital for non life-threatening injuries to his arm.

Police confirmed a 25-year-old man had since been arrested over the incident and said inquiries are ongoing.

A 36-year-old man was also arrested last week but was released pending further inquiries.
