The Doncaster Dome is already undergoing £15m in refurbishments to its lagoons area

Proposals for a new £6.9m leisure centre in Edlington and refurbishing existing facilities in Doncaster are due to be approved next month.
The plans include the demolition of Edlington Leisure Centre, which will be replaced by a new building, and improvements to Doncaster Dome's entrance area.
There will also be investment into failities at Adwick and Dearne Valley using funds secured from Sport England.
Doncaster's cabinet is due to consider the proposals on 5 November.
The £6.9m leisure centre in Edlington would include a 25m swimming pool, a wellbeing suite with Innerva equipment - exercise machines designed for those with limited mobility.
Funds of £1.9m will be spent to improve the main entrance of the Dome and replacing parts of the building fabric, roof and heating infrastructure.
This would be in addition to £15m of work currently being undertaken at the Dome to refurbish its lagoons.
Dearne Valley and Adwick Leisure Centre would be transformed into wellbeing-focused hubs with new equipment, receptions, and meeting spaces.
'Accessible and modern'
Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones said: "I want to thank everybody involved who has helped us to get to this point and I look forward to discussing the proposals with cabinet next week."
She added that the council had "listened to residents throughout this process".
Jones said previous investment into Innerva equipment at Askern Leisure Centre had proved popular with over 65% of the members using the suite being 60 or above.
"We are aware how important these facilities are to older residents; that is why we are working to make the new Edlington leisure facility as accessible and modern as possible," she said.
